Soft, fast-curing platinum silicone rubber for making flexible stop-motion puppet heads, hands, feet, bodies, and other soft castings.
Product: Puppet Rubber
Type: Platinum-cured, two-component RTV silicone
Mix Ratio: 1A:1B by weight or volume
Hardness: Shore 00-20
Softness: In the same general softness range as Dragon Skin 10 Medium or Ecoflex 00-20
Viscosity: Very low; flows like syrup
Pour Time: 6 minutes
Cure Time: 3β5 hours at room temperature

Feel: Soft and squishy like flesh, with more elasticity than PlatSil Gel 10
Suitable for stop-motion puppets, props, prosthetic skins, special-effects pieces, soft toys, life casting, and other small flexible castings.
Best Practices:
Make sure all wire tips are rounded rather than sharp. Bend the wire ends, add a small epoxy ball, cover with shrink tubing, or wrap with sewing thread to help prevent the wire from damaging the cured silicone.
For puppet skins, a thin, even wall of approximately 1β2 mm helps reduce bulk while keeping movement smooth and flexible.
Post-curing at 60 degrees C for 2β3 hours can noticeably improve tear strength.
Avoid adding thinners. PuppetSkin-20 is already very fluid, and thinning it further may reduce tear resistance.
The silicone can be pigmented to create different skin colors using silicone pigment or a tiny amount of acrylic paint.
