Platinum Silicone Rubber
500 g (1.1 lb) Total Weight
1A:1B mix ratios by weight or volume
Soft Fast-curing Silicone for making
flexible stop motion puppet's head, hands, feet and body

Product: Puppet Rubber
Type: Platinum-cured, two-component RTV silicone
Mix Ratio: 1A:1B by weight or volume
Hardness: Shore 00-20 (it’s in the same softness range as Dragon Skin 10 Medium or Ecoflex 00-20)
Viscosity: Very low (flows like syrup)
Pour Time: 6 min.
Cure time: 3–5 h at room temp
Feel: Soft, gel-rubber hybrid — squishy like flesh, but more elastic than PlatSil Gel 10
Cured Color: Flesh

Use cases: Props, prosthetic skins, special-effects pieces, soft toys, small flexible castings

Best practices for success:
Make sure the wire wire tips are round, not sharp (bend wire, put small epoxy ball, shrink-wrap or wrap with sewing thread)
Thin, even wall (~1–2 mm) - reduces bulk but keeps movement smooth.
Post-cure at 60 °C for 2–3 h — boosts tear strength noticeably.
Avoid thinners (the product is very fluid already) - they’ll drop tear resistance.
Can be pigmented to get different skin colors (with silicone pigment or a tiny drop of acrylic paint)

Silicone Rubber is the industry standard in the special effects industry for creating life-like theatrical prosthetic appliances for film, television and theater. It is also used for stop motion puppets, life casting, prop making and general silicone mold making.

This versatile platinum-cured silicone is skin-safe, fast-setting and offer simple 1A:1B mix ratios by weight or volume.

Warning: do not use with sulphur-containing materials, as sulphur will inhibit silicone curing.
