25pc Armabones Pack
Size C

If you have ever wrestled with building stable, flexible, and repeatable armatures for felted creatures, wire puppets, or clay sculptures, Armabones may be the game-changer you have been waiting for.

Why I Made Armabones
I needed something better than gluing or freehand wrapping wire. I wanted to build armatures faster and eliminate jiggling and wobbling in the completed skeleton. In short, I wanted speed, precision, durability, stability, ease of use, and versatility.

The Morezmore Armabones system is a modular solution for building stable, flexible, and repeatable armatures for needle-felted sculptures, wire puppets, clay figures, and other poseable creations.

Key Features
Precision 3D-printed with consistent hole alignment
Four sizes for common armature-wire diameters: Size A for 1mm wire, Size B for 1.5mm wire, Size C for 2mm wire, and Size D for 2.5mm wire
Suitable for armatures ranging from tiny figures only a few inches tall to large figures several feet tall
Separate, non-intersecting wire paths help keep wires clean, organized, and free from internal interference
Useful for building spines, limbs, chests, hips, wings, ears, horns, puppet rig ports, and more
Versatile enough for humans, animals, birds, crabs, dinosaurs, insects, fantasy creatures, and even miniature furniture
Made in the USA by Morezmore and tested in real puppet and figure construction

What Are Armabones?
Armabones are small 3D-printed connector blocks shaped somewhat like dice. The archaic name for dice is β€œbones,” which inspired the name Armabones.

Each Armabone has precisely positioned holes for threading aluminum armature wire. The holes are sized to hold the matching wire securely without excessive looseness. Because the internal wire paths do not cross, several wires can pass through the block in clean, non-interfering routes.

The paired hole openings also have a gentle directional slope on the edges facing one another. As two wires emerge and are brought together beneath shrink tubing, the slope allows them to converge gradually instead of bending sharply at the openings. This creates cleaner wire routes and reduces concentrated stress on the wire.

Armabones Sizes
Size A accepts 1mm wire
Size B accepts 1.5mm wire
Size C accepts 2mm wire
Size D accepts 2.5mm wire

Think of Armabones as Armature Building Blocks
They allow you to create modular armatures quickly with a consistent structure
They keep wire paths clean and parallel, reducing unnecessary twisting and wire fatigue
Multiple wires can be fused together with adhesive heat-shrink tubing after they exit the block to form sturdy limbs, torsos, or backbones
Wires may also be twisted between blocks without tubing, although twisting can increase metal fatigue over time

Whether you are building a full-body puppet or a delicate creature with thin legs, Armabones give you more control, cleaner construction, and less frustration.

The photos show real armatures built with Armabones, including Luna, a small cat approximately 4 inches tall, and Austy, a T-Rex approximately 13 inches long.

Tools and Materials for a Basic Armabones Armature

Aluminum armature wire
Dual-wall adhesive heat-shrink tubing, approximately 4–9mm diameter and about 2 feet total
Heat gun
Flat-nose pliers, such as Morezmore M00202
