Angelina Fantasy Film is a transparent, heat-bondable polyester film used by dollmakers, puppet makers, miniature artists, and crafters to create shimmering iridescent effects.
It is especially popular for fantasy and OOAK projects such as fairy wings, dragonfly wings, mermaid fins, insect wings, fantasy doll accents, jewelry details, resin art, and mixed-media crafts.
Also used by fishing lure makers and fly tiers as iridescent flash material.
When heated gently, Angelina film bonds to itself, wrinkles slightly, and creates beautiful color-shifting reflections. The effect can look delicate, glassy, metallic, or magical depending on the color and number of layers used.
Working Notes:
Angelina Fantasy Film bonds to itself with heat.
It does not permanently bond to paper, fabric, or most other materials.
Use parchment paper or white tissue paper as a protective layer.
Never touch the film directly with a hot iron.
A household iron on a low silk/synthetic setting usually works well.
Apply gentle heat only a few seconds at a time.
Too much heat, pressure, or time can burn or over-shrink the film and reduce the iridescent effect.
Basic Use:
Cut or layer the film as desired.
Place the film between parchment paper or white tissue paper.
Move the warm iron gently over the paper for a few seconds.
Check the film.
Repeat briefly if more bonding or texture is needed.
The finished bonded sheet can be cut into wing shapes, layered over wire frames, used in resin pieces, or added to fantasy craft projects.
